FAKE INFLUENCE

Welcome to

Fake Influencer

We explore the emerging phenomenon of AI Influencers – digital personalities crafted through advanced technologies like deepfake, faceswap, and voice generators. These tools enable the creation of avatars that can rival, and sometimes even surpass, human influencers in terms of popularity and influence.

We have identified more than 3,000 fake influencers created by artificial intelligence, and this number continues to grow daily. These fake profiles, often used to deceive users or for fraudulent activities, are discovered thanks to the diligent efforts of volunteers. These volunteers scour social media to find and report fake models. Once identified, these fake profiles are added to our database on our website. This collaborative work helps to alert the public and protect users from the dangers of these fake online influencers.

HELP TO RECOGNIZE A FAKE AI INFLUENCER

Imperfections

Lack of Imperfections: Natural imperfections such as wrinkles, birthmarks, or scars may be missing or strangely uniform, which can indicate AI involvement.

The Eyes

Perfect Symmetry: The eyes might seem unusually symmetrical, which is rare in humans. Additionally, the reflections in the eyes may look artificial or inconsistent with the overall lighting in the image.

The Mouth

Mouth Movements: In videos, the mouth’s movements may not perfectly match the speech or may seem mechanical. Lip-syncing is often a challenge for AI.

Face Jumping

Face Glitches: In videos, there might be “jumps” or artefacts where facial features shift suddenly or change unnaturally, a clear sign of AI manipulation.

The Gaze

Inconsistent Gaze: The eyes may appear empty or lack depth. Sometimes, the gaze may not align correctly or fail to follow movements naturally.

Skin Texture

Unrealistically Perfect Skin: Skin that appears flawless, with no visible pores or an unnaturally smooth texture, could be a sign of AI generation. Natural variations in human skin are often absent

No Speech in Videos: If the influencer never speaks in their videos or only uses voice-overs, it could indicate that the face is AI-generated, as realistic speech animation is more complex to simulate.
